Chart 4: Self-Related Stages

The largest of the appendix charts: fifteen researchers of self/ego development, spread across three sub-parts (4A, 4B, 4C in the source) and three different row spines — the familiar basic-structures spine (Loevinger, Broughton, Neumann, Cook-Greuter), Wilber's own numbered fulcrums F-1 through F-9 (Sullivan/Grant/Grant, Wade, Washburn, Erikson, Graves, Kegan — merged into one table below since both source pages use the identical fulcrum spine), and a third, coarser spine of Scheler's five "structural hardware" levels (Pascual-Leone, Jaspers, Steiner, Beck).

Transcribed and cross-checked against the source page images (library/2000-integral-psychology-images/00028.jpg-00033.jpg); draft, not yet independently verified by a second pass.

Loevinger and Broughton

Neither researcher's stages extend past vision-logic in the source — the table stops there rather than padding out with empty transpersonal rows.

The fulcrums: Sullivan/Grant/Grant, Wade, Washburn, Erikson, Graves, and Kegan

Six researchers correlated against Wilber's own numbered fulcrums (F-1–F-9 + nondual) — the same spine as Chart 1. The source also brackets a "pre, pen, nondual (possible transcendental)" note around F-0, not tied to a specific theorist's column.

The major self line and Neumann

Back to the basic-structures spine, correlated with Wilber's own frontal/ego, deeper-psychic/soul, and Witness-or-Self brackets, and Neumann's mythological and psychological stages.

Scheler, Pascual-Leone, Jaspers, Steiner, and Beck

A third, coarser spine — Scheler's five levels of "structural hardware" — with four more researchers banded against it rather than the full basic-structures spine.

Note: Pascual-Leone's stages here are glossed in the source as "stages of self development beyond the phenomenological ego or ordinary adult ego = stages of the transcendental ego, or 'ultraself.'"
