Wilber Wiki

A concept-first index into Ken Wilber and Integral Theory

Reading Ken Wilber means constantly noticing "he's talking about this here" — holons, postmodernism, complexity theory, Gaia, growth versus dominator hierarchies — with no way to see everything he's said about one idea in one place. This wiki inverts that: instead of a concept scattered across hundreds of pages, each core idea gets its own page, pairing a synthesis of Wilber's view with the actual passages where he makes the case, pulled from wherever in his work he makes it.

The vision

A book's own index gets you a list of page numbers for a term; it doesn't synthesize Wilber's view, and it definitely doesn't span multiple books. If you want to know "what does Wilber actually think about complexity theory, and where does he say it," today the answer is reread and remember, or go hunting.

The concept wiki collects the concept instead: a synthesized account of Wilber's view — including a critical take, what's strong about it and what's contestable — sitting directly alongside the passages where he argues it, across whatever works he's made the case in. Not just his own named terms (holon, AQAL, the four quadrants) but, just as often, his take on a topic — his critique of postmodernism, his read on complexity theory's promise and limits, his account of growth versus dominator hierarchies. These "Wilber on X" pages are frequently the more interesting entries, not an afterthought to the canonical vocabulary.

This is an early pilot: forty-one concepts, sourced entirely from the full text of Sex, Ecology, Spirituality, built to prove the shape of the thing before scaling out to the rest of his work. The roadmap sequences them all into a single reading path.

About this project

Wilber Wiki is a project of Rufus Pollock and Life Itself Research. It is an early, concept-first research index into Ken Wilber's work and Integral Theory, bringing together ideas, people, and the passages where Wilber develops them.
